Why I Built This

I’ve always enjoyed building tools that solve real problems — simply and cleanly. When I moved to the US, one of the first things I noticed was how hard it is to get a straightforward answer to a basic question: “How much should I actually be paying for electricity?”

Rates vary wildly by state. Data exists — but it’s buried in government spreadsheets. So I built Billora Hub: a place where anyone can get a clear, honest estimate in seconds, based on real data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

No ads. No signup. No upsell. Just useful tools.

The Data We Use

Every number on this site comes from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) — the official US government source for energy statistics. We pull residential electricity price data for all 50 states plus Washington D.C., updated monthly.

EIA data is published with a 1–2 month delay, which we always disclose. We don’t make up numbers or use estimates from third parties — if it’s on Billora Hub, it came from the source.

What’s Coming

The electricity calculator is just the beginning. Next up: a gas bill calculator, more comparison tools, and in-depth guides to help US households understand and reduce their utility costs.

Have a suggestion or found something that doesn’t look right? I’d genuinely love to hear from you — feedback is how this gets better.
