Billora uses residential electricity data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Monthly state comparisons use one common complete data period, while bill and usage benchmarks use the latest annual EIA edition verified for the tool.
Is Billora free to use?
Yes. The electricity tool is free and does not require an account, subscription, or signup.
Are the results my utility’s exact rate or bill?
No. EIA values are statewide residential averages, not a utility tariff. Actual bills can include fixed charges, taxes, riders, tiers, credits, and time-of-use pricing, and household usage varies.
Does Billora save my bill amount or kWh in a share link?
No. Bill amount, billing days, actual kWh, and previous-bill values are excluded from generated share links by default.
